Divisions of the Community Development Department have implemented new operational changes effective immediately. The customer service counter on the fourth floor is closed; however, staff is available by telephone or email with adjusted hours.
The City of Aventura is committed to the health, safety and welfare of the community it serves. In response to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Building and Local Business Tax Receipt Divisions of the Community Development Department have implemented new operational changes effective immediately. Please be advised that the operational changes and time periods described herein are subject to change at any time.
The customer service counter on the fourth floor of the Aventura Government Center will be closed to the public; however, customers may drop off permit and local business tax receipt applications in the lobby located on the first floor Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m until further notice. Division staff will process the applications and call if additional information/documents are required or when the permit/tax receipt is ready for pick up. Staff will continue to be available by phone or email to answer questions.
The City of Aventura is following the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Florida Department of Health (FDOH), and Miami-Dade County regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The safety and health of the Aventura community is important, and the City will take necessary steps to ensure its safety.
