Registration is Open for this Summer’s New Soccer Skills and Drills Program

Children ages 4-14 of all skill levels have the opportunity to safely spend their summer days making new friends and enjoying soccer activities by working on age-appropriate skills development through a variety of drills.

Online registration for the City of Aventura’s new summer Soccer Skills and Drills program is open for Aventura residents and opens on Monday, June 29, 2020 for non-Aventura residents. The program will run from Monday, July 6, 2020 through Friday, July 31, 2020 at Founders Park located at 3105 N.E. 190 Street.

Children ages 4-14 of all skill levels have the opportunity to safely spend their summer days making new friends and enjoying soccer activities by working on age-appropriate skills development through a variety of drills. The ultimate goal is to have fun! Space is limited. Participants must register prior to attending the program and must bring their own water for convenience. All participants will be required to space out a minimum of 10 feet during class.

Participants will meet twice a week for the duration of the program session (July 6 - 31). The schedule is as follows:

  • Ages 4-6 will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
  • Ages 7-9 will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Ages 10-12 will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
  • Ages 12-14 will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

The full session rate is $100 for Aventura residents and $120 for non-Aventura residents. Registration can be completed exclusively online only by creating a NEW account on the City’s new Online Registration System (ORS). Please visit cityofaventura.com/ors to create a new account by following a few simple steps:

  • Click the Register for Programs link at cityofaventura.com/ors.
  • On the new ORS dashboard page, find and click the Create Account button.
  • Follow the instructions to set up the account including family members.
  • Upload picture(s) to be used for identification.
  • Verify address and residency.

Please be advised that in response to the Coronavirus pandemic and the return to the new normal phases of operations, the City of Aventura’s Community Services Department has carefully planned and prepared this program with the safety of its community in mind. Safety guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Florida Department of Health (FDOH), and Miami-Dade County are being followed. The safety and health of the Aventura community is important, and the City takes all the necessary steps to ensure its safety.
