Current Schedule of Projects

Preparing Land for Aventura Charter High School Construction

  • Project date: Monday, April 9, 2018
  • Project overview: The City of Aventura will begin clearing the land located on the north side of N.E. 213 Street and east of Biscayne Boulevard on Monday, April 9, 2018. The land parcel is being prepared for the construction of the new Aventura charter high school. No lane closures are expected; however, traffic may be interrupted due to trucks entering and exiting the site. Please use caution while driving in the area or use alternate routes during the duration of the project.

Miami Dade Water & Sewer Department Improves Aventura’s Sanitary Sewer

  • Project date: Sunday, March 4, 2018 - October 2018
  • Project overview: Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department will begin replacement of their sanitary sewer force main along N.E. 207th Street from N.E. 34th Avenue to the east end of the Waterways Shops. Construction will occur Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until the scheduled completion date in October of 2018.

    Two-way traffic will not be interrupted; however, westbound lanes will be temporarily used for both directions of vehicular traffic when construction is active onsite.

Decorative Street Lighting Installations on NE 30th Avenue

  • Project date: Monday, February 12, 2018 - mid-April.
  • Project overview: The City of Aventura begins a street lighting improvement project on NE 30th Avenue between NE 207th Street and north to Aventura Commons starting Monday, February 12, 2018. Due to the nature of the improvement project and for vehicular traffic safety, there will be periodic lane closures; however, no road closures will be necessary. The City recommends avoiding the area during construction and to seek alternate routes.
