Spring Break in Aventura

Aventura Parks Remain Open Later for the Spring Season


Effective Sunday, March 14, 2021, the City's parks will stay open until 8:00 p.m.

Founders Park, Peace Park, and Veterans Park will be open daily (excluding Tuesdays) from 9:00 a.m. to noon and 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Waterways Park will be open daily (excluding Tuesdays) from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Secure Receptacle at Government Center Provides Safe Disposal of Unwanted or Expired Medications

The City of Aventura is providing a secured medication disposal system located at the Government Center. This easy to operate system accepts unwanted or expired prescribed and over-the-counter medicines.

Miami Gardens Drive at Biscayne Boulevard FDOT Project


The Florida Dept. of Transportation's (FDOT) roadway construction project along SR 860/Miami Gardens Drive and Biscayne Boulevard continues. Please be cautious in the area as lane closures are necessary during the duration of the project.

2020 Annual Progress Report on Local Mitigation Strategy Projects

Aventura adopted the Miami-Dade County Local Mitigation Strategy as its Floodplain Management Plan. The Strategy contains a list of the City’s flood mitigation projects. The report is the annual update of progress on these projects.
