Camps & Teacher Planning Day Programs

Wondering what to do when school is out? Register for one of Aventura's many programs during school breaks including teacher planning days, winter camp, spring camp and the 10-week summer camp program.


Registration for Teacher Planning Day (TPD) programs and camps can be completed online using the City of Aventura's Online Registration System (ORS), or in person at the Community Recreation Center, Founders Park, or Waterways Park.

Please be advised that an Aventura ID card is required to register using the ORS. Get details about obtaining an Aventura ID card.

Teacher Planning Day Program

When school is not in session due to teacher planning days, the City offers fun-filled activities for children ages 5-14 at the Community Recreation Center. 


The program is held on scheduled days from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

  • Picasso Party on Monday, September 10, 2018 – Discover art and culture through the eyes of Picasso.
  • Rhythm and Rhyme on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 – Create beats and learn about some of music’s most influential talents.
  • Monster Mash on Friday, October 26, 2018 – Experience freaky fun with creative monster-making activities.
  • Color Mania on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 – Learn about crazy colors and how they brighten our wacky world.
  • The Fast and The Curious on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 – Test speed skills and compete in a variety of “Minute to Win it” challenges.


The program fee for each day includes all activities, supplies and lunch at a rate of $43 for residents and $52 for non-residents.
