Camps & Teacher Planning Day Programs

Wondering what to do when school is out? Register for one of Aventura's many programs during school breaks including teacher planning days, winter camp, spring camp and the 10-week summer camp program.

Registration

Registration for Teacher Planning Day (TPD) programs and camps can be completed online using the City of Aventura's Online Registration System (ORS), or in person at the Community Recreation Center, Founders Park, or Waterways Park.

Please be advised that an Aventura ID card is required to register using the ORS. Get details about obtaining an Aventura ID card.

Summer Camp

June 11 - August 17, 2018

Campers ages 5-14 have the opportunity to spend the summer participating in a variety of fun onsite activities, field trips, playing outdoor/indoor games, and making new friends.  

Location

Community Recreation Center located at 3375 NE 188 Street

Schedule and Fee

Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m.  – 6:00 p.m.

  • Summer Camp (Ages 5-14): Campers enjoy arts & crafts, games, sports, special events, field trips, and swimming (for select ages).
    June 11 - August 17
    Weekly Fee: $170
  • Sports Camp (Ages 7-14): Campers choose a sport to participate in such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, or cheerleading/dance.
    June 11 - August 10
    Weekly Fee: $203
  • Art Camp (Ages 5-13): Campers learn about artists, media and techniques through art history and multicultural appreciation in a fun and educational environment.
    June 11 – June 29
    July 9 – July 27
    Weekly Fee: $235
  • Travel Camp (Ages 10-14): Campers participate in daily field trips to local attractions as well as swimming, games, arts & crafts, and special events.
    June 11 - August 10
    Weekly Fee: $250
  • Sci-Tech Camp (Ages 7-12): Campers explore interconnectedness between science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) while their creativity and problem-solving skills get challenged.
    June 11 – June 29
    July 9 – July 27
    Weekly Fee: $240

Tennis Camp

June 11 - August 10, 2018

Campers ages 8-16 can spend the summer at the City's Tennis Camp program, which offers a fun, high-quality instruction program where campers of all levels will learn, practice and/or advance fundamental tennis skills such as serving, forehand or backhand while making new friends on the court.

Location

Founders Park located at 3105 NE 190 Street

Schedule

Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

Fee

Campers are required to bring their own racket, lunch, water bottle, and snacks.

  • Full Day: $475 per week for residents and $570 per week for non-residents
  • Half Day: $325 per week for residents and $390 per week for non-residents
  • Daily: $125 per day for residents and $150 per day for non-residents
