The City of Aventura announces a new after school program for Aventura Waterways students to be held at the Aventura Community Recreation Center during the 2017 to 2018 academic school year. Students attending Aventura Waterways K-8 Center in grades kindergarten through fifth grade are welcome to enroll in the program, which will be held Monday through Friday (school days) at the student’s dismissal time through 6 p.m. at the Community Recreation Center. This program is designed to provide children with academic assistance including homework, guidance in specific areas of study, and the opportunity to engage in fun cross-curricular games.
The City will only provide bus transportation from the school at dismissal time to the recreation center on all school days, and parents or guardians are responsible for picking up their child/children from the recreation center no later than 6 p.m.
Registration opens on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, and can be completed online, the City’s Online Registration System (ORS) or in person at any of the following facilities:
Participants who have never registered for a program with the City of Aventura must register in person.
The program fee is $275 per-month along with a one-time $25 registration fee. The fee includes all activities, supplies and transportation. Snacks must be provided by parent or guardian.
